Welcome to the 1st Skatermate monthly newsletter. We aim to keep you up to date with all that is happening in the skating world. Please submit details of upcoming competitions, articles, events etc that we can include in our newsletters.
Changes to the International dances for 2010 and 2011
There have been changes to the dances for 2010 and 2011. The dances are now to be as follows:-
SOLO DANCE SCHEDULES
COUPLES DANCE SCHEDULES
 Herne Bay United held their back to the good old days roller dance social skate on Saturday 1st August 2009.The evening was a social evening with a social skate, 2 half hour dance sessions and a roller disco.
The evening was well attended with about 100 skaters from clubs such as Herne Bay United, Pegasus, Invicta, London and Essex, Meridian, Kent and Maidstone. There were dance skaters, hockey players, speed skaters and social skaters in attendance.
It was a fantastic event and we hope that these events will be held more often as it is a great opportunity for the clubs to meet in a non competitive environment.
Invicta Artistic Roller Skating Club
Invicta Artistic Roller Skating Club is holding a fun day on Saturday 8th August 2009 between 1pm and 6pm at Abbey School Faversham. There will be skate sessions and demonstrations throughout the afternoon.
There will also be a mini fun competition for all artistic dance skaters. Other clubs are welcome to turn up and compete on the day if they wish.
Entry is free as the event is sponsored by Pfizers.
There will be a barbecue and refreshments available.
